Eyelash Extentions by Lushlashh

Monday, December 14, 2015
Hello x
As some of you may know, I recently got eyelash extensions done by my new sponsor - Lushlashh!
It was my first time ever doing eyelash extensions, and honestly, at first I was pretty skeptical about it. I've seen other people's lashes ended up looking either too over the top or too plastic looking....

As I entered the shop, I was greeted with a warm welcome by their beauty technician, Wendy! Despite the size of the shop, the place somehow gives me a warm and cozy feeling :3

They even have a little corner here for you to touch up after if you need to!

I wasn't sure what kind of style I wanted to go for, but I know I wanted it to look as natural as possible. Wendy suggested to do for me their 'B Cute' style, with a mixture of B and C curl! However, she also did customised the style a lil for me to suit to my liking!

Honestly, I am pretty satisfied with the end result. I never knew eyelash extensions could make such a difference in my make-up routine now. For example: No need for eye make up to school anymore. HEHE.

Heres a selfie I took in class - literally had only base makeup, brows and lips. Nothing on the eyes!

My girl got her eyelashes done too (at another palour). Oh and I had no eyeliner on for these pics too.

However, me as a first timer, didn't really know how to take good care of my lashes. :( So I'll be heading down again this week to get it touched up. Can't wait!!!

Oh yes, they are currently having a December promo:
Korean Unlimited strand by strand extensions at only $90, with free removal!

Sometimes, I just can't help but to reminisce on everything from the past. Right now, it's pouring outside. I'm looking back at old photos and videos.
No, I'm not feeling sad, emotional or whatnot. I just like to look back and think of the good old times, and I'll wonder to myself, if they're doing well right now.

It's a really bittersweet feeling.

Going short

Tuesday, November 24, 2015
Hey guise x
So this month, I decided to go short. Well some people thinks that my hair is still considered long, but idk it's a big change for me!!!! I'm glad how my hair turned out, thanks to my new hairstylist (Chester) over at Salon De Choix!

Here's a before look of my hair before the change:
(pardon the random bear picsart I was looking tired af that day)

Another reason why I wanted to chop off my hair is because the ends of it were pretty damaged and I couldn't stand it any longer.

In a nutshell, what Chester did was he did a 'Balayage' effect on my hair.
What is balayage? It's a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. (Yes I googled the definition for you guys HHAHA)

He did a matte brown on the top and a light ashy brown tone on the bottom. To obtain the bottom colour, I was told that I had to first bleach it once. I have never gotten my hair bleached before in my life, so it was my first experience that day!

Here's the bleach which he used for my hair!

The after look of my hair (in both straight and wavy):

I feel that the waves brings out the colour better, and it also looks better! If only I have the time in the mornings to curl my hair everyday. :( Maybe I should start waking up earlier heh.......

Thank you Chester!! x

Second visit to Salon De Choix

Sunday, September 20, 2015
As some of you guys may know, I've recently went back to my salon to get my hair fixed again! I apologise for the delay in blog post, I've just settled down after my HK trip which was awesome btw :)

So a few days before my HK trip, I wanted to get my hair fixed so I contacted my stylist, William, and managed to book a slot with him. (Just in time before I flew off!) So here is how my second visit with Salon De Choix went. :)

William analysed the issues I had with regarding my hair, and he offered some suggestions. Ever since my first session with him I know that I could trust my hair with him!!

First off, he did soft rebonding to my roots. The difference between normal hair rebonding and soft hair rebonding is pretty obvious by its name - soft rebounding gives off a more softer, and natural look!

These are the products which he used for the process!!

So right after the whole soft rebonding process, it was time for treatment!!!

Products used for the treatment are from Shu Uemura!

Right after the treatment, he washed and blow dry my hair and gave me some really loose curls at the end (with the use of a hair dryer)!!

Here's the end result of my hair :)

Thank you, William!!!!

Salon De Choix is currently having an Anniversary promo for their salon!

SALON DE CHOIX

Saturday, July 25, 2015
Hello guys! If you have been following my Snapchat or Instagram, some of you guys may have realised that I recently got my hair done, thanks to Salon De Choix, which I will be collaborating with from now!

I've had long hair since I was 14. As much as I love having long hair, I have always had problems with my hair being dry and tangled. I can never leave the house without a brush. When I know that I'll be collaborating with Salon De Choix, I was so excited! Finally, I'll be able to say goodbye to my damaged hair soon. :3

So I squeezed out some time from my busy schedule and went ahead and booked my very first appointment with them on. The salon is actually quite accessible, just a 2 minute walk from Somerset MRT Station. I'll leave their address at the end of this post!

Before I begin,

my readers will be entitled to 15% off all hair services from Salon De Choix when you quote my name <MelinaIrwan> - look for my hairstylist, William! :)

The ambience of the salon is fantastic. There's also a range of complimentary drinks and snack for you to choose once you enter the salon! I settled for coke. :p

Here's William, examining my hair and giving me suggestions and ideas on what should I do to my hair!

Firstly, he gave me a trim to get rid of my damaged split ends. Love how easy it is now to comb through my hair after cutting all the split ends away, yay!!! He also gave me a shorter fringe!

After the haircut, its time to colour dye my hair. We settled for a Mahogany Brown as the base, along with some Light Brown highlights! They provide customers with a stylish looking kimono/robe, no doubt, I felt like a princess in it heh.

They did the highlight dye first before doing the base. (pardon my left eyelid, the inner corner was dried skin, which is now healed already phew!!)

So after the dying and washing process, its treatment time!!!! Firstly, William sprayed the Nourishment and Protection Of Colour concentrĂ© & booster on my hair and allowed it to sit on my hair for 10 minutes with a steamer over my head. Afterwards, he applied a hair mask and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing everything off!

Tad! Here's the end result for my hair! William took time to give me some temporary curls as well. Thank you!!

Meet my hairstylist, William! He's super friendly and approachable :p

Can't wait for my next appointment already! Thank you Salan De Choix for my new hair! xo
